The aim of the “Arts into the New Millennium” exhibition is to raise funds for the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation. The Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation is an organisation that actively involves itself in charity and community service throughout the state of Kedah Darul Aman. As an agent of change in charitable work, the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation is also a pioneer in implementing various programmes that encompass education, youth development, the development of women and single mothers, health, aid during natural disasters, charitable hemodialysis centres, training initiatives and much more.
Donations and assistance provided by the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation includes all races, age groups and levels of society that are in need. Funds obtained for this purpose are donated by corporate bodies and concerned individuals through various charitable events. In addition, this exhibition exemplifies the support of the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation towards local artists, especially those from the state of Kedah Darul Aman. It is a platform to showcase and encourage these artists to indirectly promote the state of Kedah Darul Aman amongst fellow Malaysians and those from other states.
