
May - August 2008 PROGRAMME: ARTEFACT ON CANVAS (Ages 10 - 15 years)
In conjunction with the celebration of Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia (IAMM) 10th anniversary, Education Department will organise an 'Artefact on Canvas' programme starting on 12 April until 28 June 2008.
This workshop will be conducted by Malaysian renowned artist ' Yusof Gajah '. Details are as below:
Dates: 17, 24, 31 May, 14, 21, 28 June, 5, 12, 19, 26 July & 3 August 2008
Time: 10.30am – 1.30pm
Venue: Education Workshop, IAMM
Fee: RM 55 per participant
Limited to 30 participants only

Gallery Tours
Bookings for a gallery tour may be made one week in advance through the Education Department. Arrangements for a tour guide can also be made.
School teachers may come for a pre-visit to our galleries and have a glimpse at the artefact collections, so that they may synchronise class syllabus with the respective gallery.
Museum Safari
There are animals hiding on many objects in the galleries. Go on a Museum Safari and hunt for them!
IAMM Worksheet
Find out interesting facts about animals in the gallery and miniature paintings from our fun sheets “Animals World” and “Magnificent Miniature”which are sold at the Museum Shop.

Be Inspired Modular Programme
This fun-filled programme is an educational introduction to the history of Islamic civilisations. Participants will be introduced to Iznik ceramics, miniature paintings and calligraphy! |
Workbooks
For children aged 10 and below, workbooks filled with various activities, are sold at the Museum Shop. The books are series on mosques, insects and animals. 'Art of the Mosque' contains information and activities regarding the mosque while 'Insects' and 'Animals' give extracts from the Qur'an relating to our daily interaction with them and to demonstrate God's creations.
